The workshop attempted to collectively understand the many tensions and desires invoked by a touch. The tender creations of nature: a bud, a dew, a pup, a squirrel, a child, etc. often inspire a wish to touch. The melodies of the musicians and the lyrics of the poets never recede to invoke a fragrance that blossoms from a caressing touch. Why then our immediate lives and living seem to know nothing of this solace inducing touch? Why has the touch that should have been ‘securing’, has remained aloof all along? Why has the touch that has somewhere alienated us from us, returned so often?
