Run of the Mill, is a performance piece Written, Directed and Performed by Avanish.
This performance is an intimate interrogation of a man battling with hopelessness and their core belief in love. The protagonist, a middle-class man with aspirations, is losing his steam and is about to blow. But can he afford that? What can he afford? The performer attempts to research these questions through poetry, movement and pauses available in the character's life.
Avanish is an artist with subversive thoughts and romantic dreams. He rejoices in simple pleasures and prefers kindness over everything else. He has been pursuing his artistic interests in acting, movement, poetry, stage direction, and performance art for over ten years now. He's taken a liking to curation and site-specific performances in recent times.
He facilitates creative and theatre workshops and runs a performing arts collective under the name of Buga Buga Collective, which is his brainchild. He is an ensemble member and trainee faculty member at the Moving Parts' Body and Performance training program in Goa.
